I don't ever learn.

Why do I keep picking the upset against the 49ers?  I did it three straight weeks and I lost all three times.  You won't see me ever do that again...well...atleast this week.

We are almost at the halfway point of the NFL season and we can start to assess which teams are good and bad.  Some are hard to put your finger on but I think it's very obvious that I'm not any good at making picks.

So lets get this week of getting picks wrong started!

Week 7 Results: 8-7

Game Picks Overall: 61-46

Upset of the Week Overall: 2-5 (Picked Jaguars over Chargers, Lost)

Eliminator Challenge Pick: 6-1 (Picked Falcons over Buccaneers, Won)

Against the Spread: 2-4 (Got Bills +7 right but Bears -1 and Chiefs -6.5 wrong)

Week 8 Picks (Bold Indicates My Pick):

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Greg Schiano's days as the Buccaneers head coach are numbered.  The Buccs are still winless going into week 8 and now lost one of their best players for a long time in Doug Martin.  Carolina has a chance to go over .500 for the first time in the past 70 games.  They have been playing much better offense recently and I think their stout defense will punish Mike Glennon all game long.  Panthers by 13.

Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs: The Kansas City Chiefs finished with the worst record in 2012 and are the last remaining undefeated team in 2013.  While their schedule may have been easy for the past 7 weeks, this Browns defense will test the Chiefs offense in this one.  Jason Campbell will be starting at QB for the Browns this week and should have a LONG day vs the deadly Chiefs' defense.  Chiefs by 10.

Dallas Cowboys @ Detroit Lions: If you like offense, you have to watch this game.  This should be a shootout on Sunday as the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions are two of the better passing offenses in the NFL.  When it's all said and done, the absence of DeMarcus Ware will be too much for the Cowboys defense to overcome.  Lions by 4.

Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots: The Patriots welcomed back Rob Gronkowski to the field last week in a disappointing loss to the Jets.  Gronk looked spry out there and I predict that he'll have two touchdowns on Sunday vs a bad Dolphins defense.  I told you the Dolphins were a fluky 3-0 and they are about to be a legitimate 3-4.  Patriots by 17.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles: The Giants FINALLY won a game in Week 7!  Now they head to the City of Brotherly Love to take on another struggling football team.  The Eagles offense looked putrid last Sunday scoring only 3 points.  Michael Vick will be back in this game but I'm not confident he'll be able to finish it.  I don't feel good about this one but I think the Giants will be able to successfully throw the ball in this game.  Giants by 3.

San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars (London): I'm done picking against the 49ers.  It seems like they may have figured it out and returned to their dominant form from the past two seasons.  The Jaguars made me look foolish last week; I really thought they would be able to pull the upset vs a Chargers team coming to the East Coast on a short week.  Try not to sleep too much British football fans!  49ers by 17.

New York Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals: The Jets defense has looked brilliant all year long.  The Bengals defense just lost their best defensive back for the season in Leon Hall.  If the Jets can shut down A.J. Green, this Bengals offense is very mediocre.  I think the Jets defense is up for the task and I have them upsetting the Bengals on the road.  Jets by 3.

Atlanta Falcons @ Arizona Cardinals: The Falcons will be getting Steven Jackson back for this game which is good news, but the bad news is Roddy White may not play again this week.  Harry Douglas did step up and have a good game last week vs the Buccaneers, but I think the Cardinals defense will give Matt Ryan more of a challenge in week 8.  Carson Palmer...don't screw this up!  Cardinals by 4.

Washington Redskins @ Denver Broncos: It seems like I mention every week how horrible the Redskins defense is.  This week that pathetic group of defenders goes to take on the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning.  Good luck with that!  The Redskins special teams have allowed a return touchdown in two straight games so look out for Trindon Holliday this Sunday!  Broncos by 17.

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings looked pathetic on Monday Night Football this past week with Josh Freeman under center.  They let Freeman drop back 53 times and handed the ball off to Adrian Peterson only 13.  Now with Freeman out with a concussion, Christian Ponder will be thrown back into the starting QB position.  The Packers lost another receiving option in Jermichael Finley last week, so they will really need James Jones back asap.  No matter who's suiting up for the Packers, they will win this game handily.  Packers by 24.

Seattle Seahawks @ St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford has not been good in this 2013 season but he can't do any worse now, as he is out for the year with a torn ACL.  Taking his place will be veteran QB Kellen Clemens.  This imposing Seahawks secondary vs the career backup QB could make this the 2nd straight boring Monday Night Football game in a row.  Seahawks by 14.

Seth's Upset of the Week:

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Oakland Raiders: After starting off 0-4, the Steelers have won two straight games.  The Oakland Raiders, coming off of their bye, will look to get both Terrelle Pryor and Darren McFadden into open space vs an aging defense.  I think the Raiders offense can match Ben Roethlisberger's output and get the Raiders the upset win at home.  Raiders by 3.

Seth's Eliminator Challenge Pick:

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints: While the Bills defense has been better than you'd think and so has former practice squad QB Thad Lewis, they don't have a chance vs the Saints this Sunday.  This Saints offense is just way too imposing, especially at home in the Super Dome.  Jimmy Graham may not play this week but I don't think it'll effect the outcome of this game eitherway.  Saints by 21.

Seth's Against The Spread Picks of the Week:

New York Jets (+6.5): The Jets defense is too good and the Bengals offense is too mediocre to see this game being decided by more than four points.  I think the Jets win this one outright so give me the points!

Green Bay Packers (-10): If you watched the Monday Night Football game and saw how the terrible Giants looked vs the Vikings, you'd put your life savings on this spread.  Just pray that the Vikings don't gain common sense and continue to not give Adrian Peterson a billion touches.

New England Patriots (-6.5): This Patriots team is going to be mad after a silly rule cost them a chance to win the game last week.  Like I said earlier, I think Gronkowski has a big game here, and the Patriots take it to the Dolphins at Gillette Stadium.
