Tomorrow night the New York Giants (1-1) will be visiting Bank of America stadium to face Cam Newton, and the Carolina Panthers (1-1). Eli Manning is coming off a career high performance were he threw for 510 yards, and 3 tds despite throwing 3 first half interceptions. Hakeem Nicks one of his star receivers was a big part of that performance (as seen in the video above) with 10 receptions, 199 yards, and 1 td. Saying that Eli Manning will have to pull another trick out of his sleeve because Nicks will not be playing Thursday in Carolina. Nicks did not make the trip, and will miss the game due to his on going foot injury (suffered it during the offseason).

To make matters worst for the defending champions, there are 3 other impact players who will also be inactive for the Thursday night game against the Panthers. First being starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw who suffered a neck injury in the early moments of last week's game. Back up Andre Brown who did a good job of filling in for Bradshaw last week will take on the starting role, sharing carries with rookie David Wilson. Next is starting left tackle Daivd Diehl which is a big hit to the offensive line, he will miss the game due to an MCL sprain (knee) he suffered in last weeks game. The Giants will put Will Beatty at left tackle to fill in for Diehl, and Sean Locklear at right tackle to fill in Beatty's usual spot.

The last inactive for the Giant's will be receiver Domenik Hixon, this makes the loss of Nicks even more crucial because he would be the one to fill Hakeem's spot if injury occured. Hixon will miss the game due to concussion worries. With Eli missing two of his top three receivers for Thursday's game this means that receivers such as Ramses Barden, rookie Rueben Randle, and Jerrel Jernigan will have to step up and make plays.

It will be interesting to see how this injury affected offense can get going Thursday night, however if it's anyone team that can play through injury it's the New York Giants. We'll keep you posted on any status updates on the team leading up to game day, thanks for reading!
