Gerald Wallace has agreed to terms with the newly named Brooklyn Nets, to the tune of $40 million over 4 years. He will be a huge cornerstone for the franchise for years to come.

Wallace was traded to the Nets at the trade deadline last year for Shawne Williams, Mehmet Okur, and the Nets' first round pick that year. It was protected through the first three picks, but it ended up being the 6th pick and went to Portland.

Wallace proved to be an important player for the Nets as they played much better with Wallace on the team. Wallace opted out of his player option, but stated he would love to come back to the Nets. Apparently he wasn't lying, and Nets fans will be able to see him for years to come, hopefully on the court with Deron Williams.
