When the trade for Joe Johnson went through yesterday, most Brooklyn Net fans felt Dwight was out of the picture. At least for this season, well not so fast. According to ESPN NBA insider Chris Broussard The Nets and Magic have rekindled their talks about the 3-time Defensive Player of the Year. Brooklyn has put an offer on the table that is nothing to sneeze at, including Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, Marshon Brooks and a trio of future first round picks (2013, 2015, 2017).
With this latest development the plans have certainly changed for both the futures of Brooklyn and Orlando because most people were certain that Howard would be stuck. Nothing is set in stone, however this offer may prove to be enough due to the talent Brooklyn is offering, and the picks being first rounders. We'll see how Orlando GM Rob Hennigan goes about this, he has stated he wants players in Orlando that want to be there. It's pretty clear Dwight has no intention of staying.
To better inform you all on the potential trade, above is a video of NBA Insider Chris Broussard explaining what could go down.
